IPL 2023: 3 RCB players to watch out for in upcoming season
On April 2, RCB will face five-time champions MI in their maiden game of the IPL 2023 on their home ground M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
2. Rajat Patidar
Rajat Patidar will carry the responsibility to reinforce the RCB middle order in the forthcoming competition. Last year, he looked exceptional in the knockout games against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR). His marvelous knock of 112 runs (54 deliveries) against Super Giants in the Eliminator powered RCB to register a remarkable victory by 14 runs.
Witnessing his punky side in the last season, RCB will expect Patidar to be more aggressive with his bat in this year’s competition. The 29-year-old exuded confidence with his bat in the 2022-23 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Playing for Madhya Pradesh, he became the leading run-getter for his team with 272 runs in six matches at a spectacular strike rate of 178.94.
The middle-order batter showcased his fierce playing style in the 2022-23 Vijay Hazare Trophy too. Hitting 186 runs in six matches at a jaw-dropping strike rate of 122.36, he displayed his efficiency for his domestic squad again. Noting his numbers in white-ball competitions for his state team, RCB will look forward to getting impressive performances from him in the upcoming IPL.
