In this tournament, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are facing a lot of criticism for their overreliance on Faf du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell. The debacle of lower-order batters is affecting the performance of the Challengers as they have been seemingly inconsistent in the competition so far.

Senior players such as Kohli, du Plessis, and Maxwell have served the team efficiently so far but Dinesh Karthik, one of the senior players in the squad, hasn’t performed according to his reputation Currently, with only 110 runs in 10 matches, the wicket-keeper batter has failed to justify his role in the side.

In the fifth week, RCB claimed an 18-run triumph against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in a low-scoring match at the Ekana Stadium, but RCB’s concerns remained intact as Karthik again failed to put up a decent show with his bat, chipping in with only 16 off 11 in his team’s convincing victory.
