Under the leadership of Faf du Plessis, the Royal Challengers Bangalore have given some moments of cheers to their fans, this season. Talking about their overall performance, the team is lacking consistency due to their frail batting and bowling. In the batting department, the team is completely relying on Kohli, du Plessis, and Maxwell due to inefficient batting shows, while the same story is with the bowling unit as well. Except for Mohammed Siraj, no bowler has exuded confidence consistently.

In week four, RCB pocketed the RR game at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Riding on joint bowling efforts from Mohammed Siraj, David Willey, and Harshal Patel, the team clinched a seven-run triumph. Amidst these positive scenes, Vijaykumar Vyshak's mediocre performance with the ball (2.0-0-24-0) got unnoticed.

Despite his disastrous bowling show in the RR match, the team management included Vyashak in the playing XI against Knight Riders. In front of the home crowd, he picked up two wickets but couldn’t stop the leakage of runs. In his team’s 21-run loss to KKR, Kumar conceded 41 runs in his four-over spell.
