2. Venkatesh Iyer (Kolkata Knight Riders)
The Kolkata Knight Riders have found their perfect playing eleven. In a decent batting lineup, Venkatesh Iyer holds a crucial spot for the two-time champions at number three. He can score runs quickly and anchor the innings as well.
Against the Mumbai Indians, Venkatesh Iyer was on full flow as he scored a brilliant century against the five-time champions. He smashed the bowlers all around the part, and the fans witnessed a classical T20 knock from the southpaw. The stylish batsman managed to score 104 runs from 51 balls that, helped the Knight Riders to post 185 runs in their 20 overs.
Unfortunately, this was not enough, as Mumbai Indians got the perfect start thanks to Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan. MI went on to chase the target in just 17.4 overs as the KKR bowlers were thrashed all around the part. But Venkatesh’s efforts were more valuable as he went on to win the Player of the Match award.
