Wriddhi 'Superman' Saha, that's what he's referred to nowadays. Apart from being a world-class keeper, he's showing his batting skills as well in the ongoing IPL. The Siliguri-born player has been slotted in the opening position just to attack inside the powerplay. And he's doing justice to the job perfectly, laying down cushion for other batters to come.

Wriddhiman is not known for muscle power and relies most on his elegant timing and finding the gaps. Against Lucknow Super Giants, he started off dictating the pacers from first over. Saha kept moving in the crease to make room for himself and free his arms and he did that quite successfully against Mohsin Khan, who was making his comeback.

His fearless batting was well complemented by Shubman Gill from the other end. They both added 142 runs off 73 balls making it the highest partnership for Gujarat Titans in IPL history. Saha slowed down his batting attack a bit against spinners and eventually got out to Avesh Khan. His batting laid the foundation for a big score and GT posted 227 runs on board.
