IPL has some unique records which are hard to be broken by teams and individuals. For instance, it is very difficult to break RCB's record for highest team total. While it is still in a reachable range, Chris Gayle’s record of the highest individual score of 175 against PWI is highly difficult to be hunted down. Such records might not be broken in near future. However, there are some records that can be broken in the near future.

RR has been a good team in the IPL. In the inaugural season of the IPL, RR won the title under the captaincy of Shane Warne. In the IPL 2022, they qualified for the final for the 2nd time in their history. RCB, on the other hand, has been a franchise with an incredible fan base. They have a star player like Virat Kohli who has been playing in the league since the inaugural season for the same franchise.

In the IPL 2024, the fans are looking forward to watching both the teams. Some of the players in both teams are exciting to watch. Some of the players have been hyped up so much that the fans expect them to perform in the league.

Here are the top five records of RR that RCB might not be able to break in IPL 2024:

1. Treble of -title win, Purple cap and MVP

RR had a tremendous tournament in the inaugural edition of the IPL. The fact that they were not regarded as one of the favorites to win and yet ended up dominating the league showed what they were capable of. While RR have not won the IPL since then, 2008 was a terrific season for them. Many world class players were in form and the emerging players stepped up in the league.

In 2008, RR won the title. In addition to it, Sohail Tanvir became the bowler with most number of wickets in the league. The left-arm pacer claimed 22 wickets to win the maiden purple cap. Shane Watson was brilliant as a player for RR. With the bat, he scored 472 at a SR of over 150 and claimed 17 wickets. He was the first player to win the ‘Most valuable player’ of the tournament award. To date, RCB has not been able to achieve the treble and are unlikely to achieve it in 2024.
