IPL 2025: 3 changes MI should do to get back on track
MI are currently languishing at the bottom of IPL 2025 points table after suffering two losses on the trot.
2. Replace Mujeeb Ur Rahman with Will Jacks
Mumbai Indians need to bring back English batting all-rounder Will Jacks into their playing XI after dropping him for the GT clash. The Surrey-born player, bought for INR 5.25 crore, was left out alongside Vignesh Puthur to accommodate Hardik Pandya and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. However, the decision backfired as the team suffered a heavy defeat.
Mujeeb’s return wasn’t ideal, conceding 15 runs in his first over. The Afghanistan spinner bowled just two overs that night and picked up the wicket of Jos Buttler. Meanwhile, MI’s batting remains over-reliant on Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma, and with the top order collapsing in the previous two games, they need Jacks to add the firepower required. Wankhede’s batting-friendly surface suits his style, making his inclusion crucial.
