Long before Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma led the national team, they gained captaincy experience in the Indian Premier League (IPL). While Kohli captained Royal Challengers Bangalore for the first time in 2011, Rohit made his captaincy debut in 2013. Both players did brilliant jobs with their franchises as well as on the International stage for the Nation.
The IPL has always played an important role in shaping the careers of young players and there are oodles of youngsters who are plying their trade in the league at present. Many of them are expected to be the future captains of their IPL franchises and of the national team as well.

5. Ishan Kishan
The prodigy from the land of MS Dhoni followed his hero's footsteps and became a keeper-batsman, and even went on to captain his U19 side. Ishan Kishan might become the Mumbai Indians' future captain. The team is renowned for developing new players. After leading his team to the U19 World Cup finals, Kishan gained maturity and an IPL deal as a result.
The teenage player was then purchased by Mumbai in the auctions for a record-breaking sum, making him the then-second-most expensive player. He has been leading Mumbai in the league in a fantastic manner. It won't be shocking to see Kishan captain an IPL team in the future if he can keep up his fantastic job.
