2. Mumbai Indians (12 wins out of 18 matches)
After being an ordinary side in the first two seasons, Mumbai Indians took the IPL by storm in the 2010 edition as they reached the final for the first time. However, they fell one step short of winning the trophy getting beaten by Chennai Super Kings in the final.
It further took three more years for Mumbai to win their first title as they found a new leader in Rohit Sharma. The win started a juggernaut for Mumbai as they went on to win four more titles in the next seven years becoming the most successful franchise in the history of the tournament.
Over the years, Mumbai have become one of the most feared oppositions in the playoffs as they have 12 wins out of 18 matches. They had their worst season in 2022 finishing last on the points table and the five-time champions will hope to live up to their reputation in the ongoing season.
