Kagiso Rabada has been serving Punjab Kings (PBKS) in IPL since 2022 but from 2017 to 2021, he was a part of DC. In 2020, the South Africa pacer displayed his bowling mettle and won the Purple Cap. Against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 2, he bowled an exceptional spell and helped Delhi register a 17-run win.

In the knockout contest, DC posted 189 runs on the board with the sensational batting efforts of Shikhar Dhawan (78 off 50) and Marcus Stoinis (38 off 27). Defending the huge total, Rabada removed lethal David Warner on the first delivery of his spell.

The early breakthrough from the Protea instilled confidence in Stoinis, who got the better of Priyam Garg and Manish Pandey within the first powerplay of SRH’s innings. In his final over, Rabada outclassed Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, and Shreevats Goswami and ended up as the leading wicket-taker in the match, with 4/29 figures in four overs.
