England all-rounder Sam Curran debuted in the IPL in 2019 for PBKS. Showing up against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) Stadium, he looked sensational with the ball. Until the 16th over of the second innings, Delhi were in a comfortable position in the game as they needed 23 off 21 with seven wickets in hand.

However, Mohammed Shami, who was bowling his third over, got rid of Rishabh Pant and displayed his fighting spirit. Following Pant’s fall, Curran got the better of Colin Ingram and Harshal Patel and brought Punjab back into the game. In the final over, Delhi were required 15 with two wickets to spare.

Bowling the final over of the game, Curran didn’t give any runs and dismissed tailenders Kagiso Rabada and Sandeep Lamichhane to take Punjab home by 14 runs. The youngster was given the Player of the Match award for his stunning bowling performance.
