T20 World Cup 2022: Rating squads of all teams in the tournament
The T20 World Cup 2022 will kickstart on October 16 with the group stages and the action will move towards the Super 12 round from October 22.
5. New Zealand : 7.5/10
New Zealand has been a consistent performer in the multi-nation tournaments reaching the finals of the last three white-ball World Cups and has the team who can threaten to lift the title this time. The squad has a nice blend of youth and experience and can prove to be a handful in Australian conditions.
The Blackcaps have Finn Allen, Martin Guptill, and Glenn Phillips to take the bowling apart from the get-go while the likes of Kane Williamson and Devon Conway will provide the stability to the batting lineup. The Kiwi pace-attack is world-class with Trent Boult, Tim Southee, Lockie Ferguson, and Adam Milne in the mix.
New Zealand also have a lethal spin duo in Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi. The big grounds of Australia will aid the aggressive bowling style of Sodhi. The Williamson & Co. also have a couple of top-quality all-rounders like James Neesham, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell and Santner to provide balance to the side.
