Virat Kohli, the name is sufficient to gather one's attention, and Virat Kohli, the player, has achieved it all. The stylish right-handed batter has performed for India in crunch situations, and his attitude and on-field energy have been second to none when he has played for India. Virat was the game-changer in the 2022 T20 World Cup match against Pakistan, and his innings was a gift to the Indian fans just on the eve of Diwali.

However, Virat has been vocal about how he loves the longest format of the game and with him being 34, it can be possible that Virat Kohli might be playing his last T20 World Cup in 2024. With age being a factor and the brand of cricket being played by the Indian team changing, it could be possible that Virat might hang up his boots from the shortest format of the game.  A possible replacement for the batter would be Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Ruturaj Gaikwad has risen up in the T20 ladder with his outstanding display of batting in the IPL and the domestic circuit. Ruturaj has been able to shift his batting according to the circumstances and has been able to accelerate the innings from the word go with sheer timing and proper textbook shots. His elegance and game awareness has been noted by many cricketing experts, and with the kind of performances he has provided for the team in yellow in IPL, he can easily be part of the Indian T20 setup going forward.
