Team India's T20 World Cup 2007 squad members: Where are they now?
India won the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007 with a bunch of Young Turks and a few experienced campaigners.
14. Joginder Sharma
Joginder Sharma was one of India’s heroes during the ICC World T20 2002. In the tournament’s finale against Pakistan, the Rohtak-born was given the responsibility to defend 12 runs in the final over and he dismissed Misbah-ul-Haq to hand India the T20 World Cup.
Overall, Joginder didn't have a lot of mesmerising displays with the ball during the marquee tournament, and therefore, was sidelined from the Indian team. However, he was roped in by Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural edition of the IPL and the 38-year-old played for the Men in Yellow till 2011.
In 16 outings for Chennai, he could only manage 12 wickets and leaked runs at an economy of 9.82. His underwhelming performances dented his hopes of making an international return.
Joginder joined Haryana Police after the 2007 T20 World Cup. He gradually rose through the ranks and became the Deputy Superintendent of Police. He is also featuring in the ongoing Legends League Cricket tournament.
