15. Piyush Chawla

Piyush Chawla was one of the most exciting prospects in Indian cricket at the time of the T20 extravaganza in South Africa. The leg-spinner who was just 18 back then, caught everyone's attention with a sensational ODI debut against Bangladesh. Unfortunately, he did not get a game during the T20 World Cup.

Piyush got limited chances in the following years and in those outings he was not able to put on an impressive show. Also, with Harbhajan’s stocks rising, the Aligarh-born was more of a back-up spin option.

However, the 33-year-old was a consistent performer in the initial years of IPL and based on his splendid performances in the T20 tournament he was able to make a comeback to the Indian team in 2010.

Piyush went on to play in the historic 2011 World Cup and also featured in the 2012 World T20 but post that, he was dropped from the team.

The veteran spinner has been a big name in the IPL and played in 165 matches with157 wickets to his credit. His last appearance in the tournament came in 2021. Piyush is currently commentating and has appeared as an analyst on various cricket shows.
