Three players from T20 World Cup 2022 Royal Challengers Bangalore can potentially bid on in mini-auction

Royal Challengers Bangalore played some exciting brand of cricket in the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). With Faf du Plessis at the helm, RCB notched up a string of victories and finished fourth at the end of the league stage with eight wins under their belt.

They had a golden chance to go all the way but unfortunately, they lost the second qualifier to Rajasthan Royals and were knocked out of the competition.

RCB picked a well-rounded side at the 2022 mega auction and certainly reaped dividends in the season. But as they bid to script history in the next season, the Bangalore franchise could look to improve the quality of the personnel in their squad. And to achieve the same, they can look at certain top-drawer T20 stars who are currently featuring in the T20 carnival in Australia.

3. Sikandar Raza

Sikandar Raza has been a giant of a player in the T20 circuit. He has played a total of 150 games in the shortest format and amassed 2999 runs at a strike rate of 130.27. The 36-year-old has been remarkable with the ball as well and bagged 72 wickets at an economy of 7.29.

The veteran all-rounder has set the ongoing T20 extravaganza on fire with his jaw-dropping performances. In the seven matches played so far, Raza has hit 185 runs at a superb strike rate of 149.19 and taken nine wickets at an impeccable economy of 6.57. He was the chief architect of Zimbabwe's historic triumph against Pakistan as he took three wickets for just 25 runs.

The Zimbabwe cricketer has been in the form of his life and RCB could look to rope him into their squad to add depth to the side. Given Raza’s all-round prowess, he could be an able backup option for Wanindu Hasaranga or even Glenn Maxwell for that matter.
