Three players from T20 World Cup 2022 Royal Challengers Bangalore can potentially bid on in mini-auction
Royal Challengers Bangalore lost the second qualifier to Rajasthan Royals and were knocked out of the IPL 2022.
1. Sam Curran
Sam Curran has been a prominent figure in the T20 circuit. Be it in the international circuit or the T20 leagues, the 24-year-old has made a mark with his all-round performances. He has played a total of 142 T20 games and bagged 145 wickets at an economy of 8.47. On the batting front, he has smashed 1725 runs at a strike rate of 136.36.
Curran has grown in stature as a bowler of late and his sensational showings in the ongoing T20 World Cup are a prime example of the same. In the encounter against Afghanistan, he completely dismantled the opposition’s batting line-up bagging five wickets for just ten runs. He also took two wickets each against Ireland and New Zealand.
Royal Challengers Bangalore picked David Willey to bring a left-arm seam option to the table who can provide useful contributions with the bat. But given Willey did not perform as per expectations taking just a wicket and scoring mere 18 runs in four games, RCB might move past him and look at his compatriot Curran to fulfill the role.
