The IPL (Indian Premier League) 2025 mega auction concluded after two days of thrilling bidding battles between the 10 franchises. The event that was held in Jeddah, across November 24 and 25, saw some marvellous moments; from the most expensive buy record being broken twice on the same day to several big names going unsold, the IPL mega auction had it all.

With the teams well engaged in bidding battles, the RTM card rule was used several times in the auction as well.

3. Shamar Joseph (Lucknow Super Giants)

Shamar Joseph was one of the RTM picks in the IPL 2025 mega auction; the pacer was part of a bidding battle between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians. It is worth noting that Joseph was a part of LSG in the previous season of the IPL; however, as MI won the bid or him, LSG raised the RTM paddle.

In doing so, MI backed out of the deal, and Lucknow roped Joseph in for INR 75 lakhs. With minimal experience in the IPL, Joseph will hope that he gets some playing time in the 2025 edition of the cash-rich tournament and makes an impact for his side in the upcoming season.
