This was a special match for many reasons as Sachin Tendulkar became the first batter in cricket history to hit 100 centuries, but Bangladesh had the last laugh as they spoiled his glory moment by defeating India in Mirpur.

Bangladesh had opted to chase in this match and Sachin Tendulkar (114) led from the front. Virat Kohli (66) and Suresh Raina (51) also contributed as India posted 289/5 in 20 overs. Mashrafe Mortaza with two wickets was the pick of Bangla bowlers.

In the chase, Tamim Iqbal (70) and Jahurul Islam (53) led the charge with a 113-run partnership at the top. Though they got out, Nasir Hossain with 54, Shakib Al Hasan with 49 and then captain Mushfiqur Rahim (46*) made sure Bangladesh got past the finish line.

The twist in the chase came when Mushfiqur hit three sixes in the last two overs including two against Irfan Pathan and then took 11 runs in 2 balls against Praveen Kumar. Bangladesh won by 5 wickets in the last over.
