Virat Kohli hasn’t posted on Social Media after the Champions Trophy win – Fans wonder why
India recently emerged triumphant in the 2025 edition of the Champions Trophy.
The recent Champions Trophy triumph was Virat Kohli's second as a player. He had previously won it in 2013. This edition saw the ace Indian batter score 218 runs in five innings. His standout performances included an unbeaten ton against Pakistan in the group-stage as well as a stellar 84 against Australia in the semi-final.
Social media, and particularly Instagram, was flooded with posts from members of the Indian setup. All of them could be seen posting raw emotions and meticulously selected pictures and edits of theirs with the trophy and the post-match celebration in the dressing room. However, Kohli's feed seemed worlds apart from the others. It has been two days since the historic Champions Trophy 2025 triumph, and there has still not been any post in relation to the tournament or India's victory up until now.
This has left the cricket fraternity quite intrigued, with speculations doing the rounds as to what the exact reason behind the same might be. Instead, all of his recent posts as well as other stuff have essentially been promotional ads and endorsements for the several brands he is associated with. Below is an image attached which shows how his recent timeline looks like:
Much like his former colleague and one of his biggest sources of inspiration, MS Dhoni, Kohli has also gone on to keep quite a lowkey status on Instagram in relation to posting about his on-field achievements. In fact, Kohli's last post on the widely-used social media platform was the team's picture with last year's T20 World Cup trophy along with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.
Another likely reason could also be Kohli's performance with the bat in the final of the recently-concluded spectacle. He was dismissed for just a solitary run, when a lot more was expected from him. Kohli has been someone who has always displayed a sense of hunger for being at the top of his game in any given situation. Him not contributing to the scoreboard according to his expectations might be another reason for not posting on Instagram.

Turning to cricketing issues, Kohli will next be seen representing boyhood franchise, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.
