World Cup 2023: 3 Players who can replace Rishabh Pant in India's squad if he is ruled out of entire season

With the 2023 ODI World Cup set to begin in less than two months, team India have begun ideating and preparing for the big-ticket competition so as to clinch their first ICC title in over a decade. The think tank will be hoping for certain players to recuperate from their injuries to make the cut in the squad just in time for the global ICC event, which is slated to begin on October 5.
Players such as the likes of speedster Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer have shown great signs of improvement in their recovery process at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru and are on their way back into the national team. However, another key player- wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who sustained multiple injuries due to a freak car accident in December 2022, has shown good signs of recovery, but it is still unsure if he would make it in time for the marquee ODI event.
While his absence will prove to be a blow for the Men in Blue, however, the selection committee will turn their attention towards certain other players who could likely replace Rishabh in the squad. Team India begins their campaign against Australia on October 8 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
