Axar Patel to Skip Asia Cup 2023 Final Clash between IND vs SL: Reasons Explained

The Asia Cup 2023 final is right around the corner. team India and Sri Lanka will be taking on each other in the summit clash of the tournament on Sunday, September 17, and it could be interesting to see which side comes out on top when both take the field.

It could be likely that Axar could miss the final of the Asia Cup 2023 (as per Cricbuzz), as he came out of the clash against Bangladesh with several niggles.

Injury woes for Sri Lanka pile on as well

Apart from team India, the injury woes have been increasing rapidly for Sri Lanka as well. Star spinner Maheesh Theekshana was recently ruled out of the summit clash of the tournament due to a muscle injury. The injury to the star player could be a cause of concern for the defending champions, as he is one of their best performers. 

Apart from Theekshana, many other players add to the list of injuries in Sri Lanka as well. The likes of Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, Dilshan Madushanka, and Lahiru Kumara are also missing the Asia Cup final due to injuries.
