I would beg Mahi to give me his unmatched ability to catch the pulse of a match: RP Singh
RP Singh reveals one thing he would steal from Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
MS Dhoni is one of the most astute readers the game has ever produced. Over the years, he has changed the complexion of several games with just one move and has left everyone awestruck. Be it giving the final over of the T20 World Cup 2007 to Joginder Sharma or promoting himself up in the order in the final of the ODI World Cup 2011, the Captain Cool has been brilliant with his decision-making.
Thus, when RP Singh was asked what it is that one thing he would love to have that Dhoni possesses, the former cricketer didn’t take much time and stated he would love to have the CSK skipper’s unmatched ability to catch the pulse of the match. The pacer also revealed that he would love to steal one of Dhoni’s bikes.
“I would beg Mahi to give me his unmatched ability to catch the pulse of a match. There are so many things you can steal from him, but I would probably steal one of his bikes, the RX100,” Singh said while speaking on Jio Cinema.
The 37-year-old also mentioned in the conversation that he would love to borrow Dhoni’s captaincy skills from him.
CSK defeat LSG by 12 runs to clinch first win of 16th edition
In Chennai’s first home game of the ongoing IPL season, Super Kings defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 12 runs. Batting first, the MS Dhoni-led side played some brilliant cricket as openers Ruturaj Gaikwad (57 runs off 31 deliveries) and Devon Conway (47 off 29 deliveries) gave an ideal start. Later, Shivam Dube and Ambati Rayudu played quick cameos while the skipper hit two sixes to set the crowd rolling.
With the ball, even though they leaked a lot of runs, they somehow managed to control the situation as Moeen Ali picked up four wickets in the middle overs. Towards the end, Tushar Deshpande bowled well but Dhoni was not happy with his bowlers giving so many extras.
