When MS Dhoni was seen limping on the field in the clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday, April 12 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai it gave birth to a lot of rumours surrounding his fitness and a lot of people thought that he might be going through a lot of discomforts.

Chennai Super Kings head coach Stephen Fleming also mentioned that the skipper is battling a knee injury in the ongoing Indian Premier League and Matthew Hayden who was commentating during the CSK versus RR clash also opened up on the same and mentioned that it is a matter of concern for the Chennai fans.

However, the situation doesn't seem that worrisome at the moment for Dhoni as he was seen tonking the ball in the lead-up to the away game against Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 17 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. In a video posted by IPL on their Twitter account, Dhoni can be seen smashing the ball to all corners of the ground and didn't show any signs of struggle.

Dhoni has not been promoting himself up the order in the ongoing season , which is quite similar to the previous few seasons and has been wielding his willow as per the requirements of the team. He has shown glimpses of his vintage self in the ongoing season with some quick-fire knocks.

In the game against Rajasthan, the 41-year-old took the attack to the opposition and almost pulled off a heist at Chepauk. Dhoni clobbered Sandeep Sharma for two consecutive sixes and was threatening to take the game away from them but it wasn't meant to be as Sandeep held his nerves and won his side the cliffhanger.

Similarly against Lucknow while playing at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, the 41-year-old got under the skin of their premier fast bowler Mark Wood and hammered him for two successive sixes. His batting exploits have given a reason for the CSK fans to rejoice and it might turn out to be the same case in the clash against RCB.
