Delhi Capitals comeback strong as they restrict Royal Challengers to a score under 200 in a key game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium
Delhi Capitals went to the Chinnaswamy Stadium without the services of Rishabh Pant who was benched for a game. Axar Patel who is leading the side won the toss and chose to bowl first. Kumar Kushagra replaced the Delhi Capitals skipper while Rasikh Dar got his first start of the season.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, on the other hand, went in with the same team that had won their last match. The home team had beaten Punjab Kings in their last game to keep their faint hopes of making it to the playoffs alive.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru: 50 runs off 4.5 overs
The intent from the RCB opener was familiar as they came out attacking and put pressure on the Delhi bowlers. Mukesh Kumar got the first wicket when he dismissed Faf Du Plessis for six. Virat Kohli played a few good shots before he was snapped by Ishant Sharma for 27.
Powerplay: Overs 0.1 to 6 (Mandatory – 61/2)
Rajat Patidar continued his blazing form with the bat as he got to 22 runs from 11 balls with 3 fours and a six. Will Jacks was unusually quiet as he could only score 4 runs from 5 balls when the powerplay overs ended.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru: First Strategic time-out (99/2 from 9 overs)
The pair of Rajat Patidar and Will Jacks took Kuldeep Yadav to the cleaners as the DC spin ace was smashed for 27 runs from his two overs. What didn’t help matters was the fact that two catches were dropped in the 9th over much to the dismay of Kuldeep as the RCB fans were enjoying each moment.

End of the Innings: Royal Challengers Bengaluru -187/9 from 20 overs
Delhi Capitals bowlers made a strong comeback into the contest as they bowled tight and kept the home team from scoring 200. Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be unhappy as they looked good to go past the 200 mark at one stage with Rajat Patidar and Will Jacks going after the opposition's bowling.
