The Indian contingent landed in Australia on Thursday for the impending T20 World Cup later this month. Rohit Sharma's men will indulge in two practice matches against Western Australia before squaring off against New Zealand and Australia in the warm-up fixtures. Indian batting ace Suryakumar Yadav, participating in his first World Cup down under, revealed his excitement about playing in Australia in the latest video released by BCCI.

Suyrakumar Yadav's talent was no secret to anyone, but the mercurial batter has taken his game to an astonishingly impressive level over the last year. He heads into the ICC mega event as India's best batter, ranked No.2 in the world in the shortest format of the game.

The 32-year-old revealed his excitement about playing on such a big stage and took a walk around the stadium before his first practice session in the country ahead of the ICC mega event. The Australian pitches are known for their good bounce and carry, and Suryakumar assessed the conditions during his practice session.

"I was really looking forward to coming here and attending the first practice session, going on the ground, having a walk and run, and feeling what it is like here. The first net session was also amazing. Just wanted to feel how the pace of the wicket is, how the bounce is."

Obviously, starting a little slow. There were butterflies, and there was excitement, at the same time, you also need to see how you bring yourself into this atmosphere. I am excited but at the same time, it is important to follow your routines," Suryakumar said in the video.

It is important to ready your game plan on how to score runs on these wickets: Suryakumar Yadav

Apart from the bounce on the Australian pitches, one of the striking differences from the subcontinent venues are the dimensions of the grounds, which are considerably greater. The Indian batter stated that it was important to adapt and prepare according to the venues in the country, which can be challenging at times for the batters.

"At the time of the practice, I feel, the bounce on the wicket, the pace of the wicket and people talk about ground dimensions in Australia. It is important to ready your game plan on how to score runs on these wickets. All these things are very important. Good conditions, really looking forward," he added
