The 2025 edition of the Women's Ashes is all set to wrap up with the pink-ball Test between Australia Women and England Women, scheduled to commence at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, on January 30. The renowned venue is all set to host its maiden pink-ball Test across men's and women's cricket in its fabled 148-year history. The upcoming game also marks the 90th anniversary of women's Test cricket, only enhancing the significance of the occasion.

As far as the latest updates on the squads is concerned, the hosts will most probably be boosted by the presence of Alyssa Healy, after she confirmed herself fit in the pre-match press conference. Ashleigh Gardner will be returning from her calf injury as well. England Women, on the other hand, confirmed the sidelining of experienced seamer, Kate Cross, from their roster, due to not recovering from her back injury. In her place, England are likely to pick either Ryana MacDonald-Gay or an extra spinner.

As far as the series is concerned, Australia won the white-ball leg with the utmost of ease. Wins in the ODI series in addition to the T20I series have placed them as favourites to get past their arch-rivals in the multi-day game. For the record, the Aussies have held the Women's Ashes since 2015.
