After a blistering start to their WPL campaign, Delhi Capitals will host UP Warriorz on March 7 at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai.
The Warriorz were sensational and managed to register a thrilling three-wicket victory over Gujarat Giants in their previous match. Grace Harris and Kiran Navgire were their stars with the bat. When all the other batters failed to make the mark, the duo played some brilliant cricket to help UP register the win. Harris scored a fiery 59* off 26 while Navgire scored 53 off 43. Meanwhile, with the ball, Sophie Ecclestone was impressive but others need to improve.
Meanwhile, DC's opening partnership of Skipper Meg Lanning (72 off 43) and Shafali Verma (84 off 45) was absolutely sensational against RCB and courtesy of their intense start, the Capitals posted 223 runs on board after 20 overs. South Africa international Marizanne Kapp, who was not in great form, too played some brilliant cricket in the last match and thus, there are a lot of positives for Delhi at the moment. USA international Tara Norris was electrifying as she picked up a five-for and was adjudged as Player of the Match.
Thus, it is going to be an explosive game when these two sides meet in the Women’s Premier League. Both teams have registered a win in their opening game and would want to continue with the same momentum.

The surface at DY Patil Sports Academy is one for the batters to dominate. Anything above 180 will be a good score on this wicket and the captain winning the toss might want to bowl first.
