Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) entertain fans in Match 36 of the sixteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Wednesday, April 26 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The Knight Riders defeated the Royal Challengers by a big margin of 81 runs when both teams met earlier this season at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The Bangalore-based franchise has made a decent start to their current campaign as they have played seven matches so far with four victories and three losses. With eight points and a net run rate of -0.008, they are placed in the fifth position in the table. Meanwhile, the 2012 and 2014 champions KKR have made a disastrous start to their season.

Nitish Rana’s side has played seven games with just two wins and five defeats. With four points and an NRR of -0.186, they are positioned eighth in the table. (All standings till Match 34). However, Rana and his side will be boosted by their recent record at the venue as they have won their last four encounters on the trot including the famous 2019 fixture. Andre Russell smashed 48* off just 13 with the help of seven maximums to help his side in chasing down a massive target of 206 that year.
