In the Eliminator, RR had a convincing victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, as Avesh Khan and Ravichandran Ashwin bowled some beautiful spells. The duo aggregated five wickets between them, as the off-spinner was also awarded Player of the Match for tight bowling in the middle overs. With the bat, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Parag made handy contributions, before Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell added the finishing touch, as RR won the game in the 19th over with four wickets to spare.
Coming back to Cummins & Co, their last match-up came against KKR at Motera for the Qualifier 1. Rahul Tripathi 55(35) played magnificent innings which helped them to post a decent total of 159. Speaking about the bowling of Sunrisers, T Natarajan (3-0-22-1) bowled beautifully, which helped them drag the game till the 14th over. However, no support from the other end, and onslaught by Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer meant that the Knight Riders breached the total 38 balls to spare.
