The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Today, India was involved in the third T20I of the five-match series against New Zealand. It turned out to be a close encounter that went into the tie-breaking Super Over. India posted a competitive total of 179 runs for a loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma played a brilliant knock of 65 runs off 40 runs studded with six boundaries and three sixes.

The Kiwis gave a brilliant reply on the back Kane Williamson heroics with the bat. He smacked 95 runs off 48 balls with eight boundaries and six sixes that took the match into the Super Over. However, his effort went in vain as India chased down the score of 17 runs in the tie-breaking over of the match. Rohit Sharma went for two back to back sixes that helped Men in Blue in winning the close contest against Black Caps.

The ‘Hitman’ was awarded Man of the Match for his brilliant performance in 3rd T20I. After the conclusion of the match, Virat Kohli and Co. was poured with wishes from their fans and cricketing fraternity on social media platforms. They also lauded the effort given by New Zealand, who gave a tough fight to Team India.
