Cricketing Trends on the Social Media today
Here is how the cricketing fraternity spent their day on Twitter and Instagram today.
The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around a number of incidents, involving the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Rajasthan Royals (RR) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) locked horns in the first of today’s doubleheader and it was the hosts, captained by their newly-appointed skipper Steve Smith, who came out trumps by five wickets. With the triumph, RR won both their games against MI this season.
MI leg-spinner Rahul Chahar picked up three top-order wickets, but he’s in no mood to drop the towel. Former Indian cricketer RP Singh was delighted with Chahar. Moreover, he was also impressed to see the 29-ball 43 from 17-year-old Riyan Parag. The youngster didn’t die wondering and played his strokes freely. Hemang Badani was happy after Smith was appointed as the RR captain, replacing Ajinkya Rahane.
Aakash Chopra felt that some of the knocks in this edition’s IPL have put a negative impact on the team’s performances. He cited the 20-ball 9 from Robin Uthappa in yesterday’s match between the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Eden Gardens.
Aaron Finch posted a picture along with Peter Handscomb. Both of them plays for Victoria in the domestic circuit. South African pacer Dale Steyn passed his condolences for the family of Scotland cricketer Con de Lange, who passed away recently.
