David Warner shares morphed RRR poster featuring him and Kane; Rashid Khan hilariously trolls them
David Warner was left in splits after coming across his fans' antics.
Fans might not have seen David Warner on the cricket field for a while. However, this doesn’t stop the Australian opener from hogging the limelight and entertaining his fans. The dashing batsman, who is an active user of social media, has been frequently sharing intriguing photos and videos to keep his followers engaged. It is also a known fact that Warner has a special love for the South Indian movie industry.
The southpaw’s Instagram page is flooded with videos of him grooving to Telugu songs and even enacting famous dialogues. Speaking of his latest post on the picture-sharing website, the 34-year-old shared a fan-made morphed poster of the much-awaited Telugu movie RRR. For the unversed, the filmmakers released the new poster on Tuesday (June 29) where lead actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR can be seen enjoying a bike ride.
Morphing the image, a fan page replaced the actors with Warner and his Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson. The southpaw was amused after coming across the post as he thanked his fans for their antics. “This stuff makes me we have such amazing supporters. Thanks for sending in your pics and videos. So much love,” Warner wrote while sharing the snap.
Rashid Khan reacts to the post
The comment section got flooded in no time with fans lavishing praises on the post. Warner’s SRH teammate Rashid Khan also cheekily reacted to the morphed poster, commenting: “Helmet guys.” Reacting to this, Warner wrote: “you too Rashid bhai.”
Meanwhile, Warner was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which got abruptly postponed on May 4 due to the COVID-19 crisis. The southpaw had a terrible outing in the tournament as he couldn’t perform to his potential as SRH lost one game after another. Moreover, Warner shockingly also was stripped off from captaincy midway with Williamson taking over the reins.
The remaining tournament will resume in September and will be played in the United Arab Emirates. However, dark clouds are looming over the participation of foreign players with the high-voltage ICC T20 World Cup taking place right after the tournament. Meanwhile, Warner has pulled out from Australia’s upcoming tour of West Indies and Bangladesh. Hence, it would be interesting to see when he returns to action.
