Dean Jones believes Australia can win the T20I series
Dean Jones is currently in India commentating in the ongoing series between India and Australia.
The cricketer turned commentator Dean Jones believes that Australia can still win the three-match T20I series against India. The former Australian cricketer is in India currently commentating in the ongoing series in the shortest format. His team continued to lose on the tour as they were defeated at the hands of a rampant Indian side by 9 wickets in a rain-hit game. The next two games of the series will be played in Guwahati and Hyderabad.
The familiar woes continued for Australia in the T20 Internationals as they collapsed after a good start on a slow and turning pitch. Aaron Finch once again starred in their failure and continued his good form since coming back from injury. He scored 42 in just 30 balls with 4 fours and a six. But others were bamboozled by the wrist spinning duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal as they could only muster 118/8 until the 19th over when rain stopped play and eventually ended their innings.
Professor trolled for his display picture on Twitter
Dean Jones has expressed his hope against all the odds for the team from down under to win the series on social media website on Twitter. However, he replied to a tweet when a parody account of Mayanti Langer, the presenter on Star Sports, trolled him for his display picture on the website. The user poked at him by asking him if he is at someone’s funeral in India and mentioned that there are only 2 matches to go now and there is no shame in losing them. The troll read as, “@ProfDeano Your face professor Are you in India for someone’s funeral? Only 2 matches now you will lose than go home. Don’t feel shame.”
The 56-year-old replied to that message and expressed his belief in the current T20 team led by David Warner. According to him, Australia still has a chance as a couple of matches are still left series. His reply was, “ 2 matches to go… we still have a chance!” Though there is nothing wrong in having the positive attitude, the team needs to show it on the field during the matches now.
