England cricketers enjoy their break in Dubai
The English cricketers and the team management have been putting their best efforts together to put the struggles of the consecutive Test defeats behind them by enjoying their much-needed break time in Dubai. The likes of James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Joe Root and Jos Buttler were all seen relaxing in the sunny metropolis ahead of their must-win encounter against India which begins in Mumbai on Thursday.
Despite winning their last Test series in India 2-1 back in the year 2012, Cook and his men have been pretty ordinary in the ongoing series so far and need to play out of their skin to register a fightback in the 5-match series. Despite winning the toss two times in three Tests, England hasn’t been able to cash in on the advantage and has surrendered rather meekly.
After a strong performance in the 1st Test at Rajkot, the visiting side was expected to give India a strong fight but that hasn’t been the case. The Indian spin trio of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav has been impressive throughout the series despite the pitches not being rank turners under any stress of imagination.
Though England had their chances in the series so far but they were unable to make it count. With the much needed the break, the England team will hope to have been reinvigorated before the 4th Test begins in Mumbai on Thursday. They have to give a serious thinking on how they want to match the No.1 team in the world especially in conditions which they exploit so well.
Broad who was pictured hanging out on a boat with his teammates on Sunday is facing a race against time to recuperate from the injury which he sustained during the Vizag Test and be fit to take his place in the Mumbai Test.
The pacer has been an integral member of the England side especially in the longer format of the game. Broad missed the 3rd Test in Mohali due to the foot injury which he sustained during the 2nd Test.
