The 3-match ODI series between England and Ireland will conclude on Tuesday but the result doesn’t matter towards series as the hosts have already taken a winning lead. However, Ireland would be looking to give their best and get off the mark in the Men’s Super League.

The Irish team has been underperforming for a while against the big teams, especially in the ODI format. They have got a chance to finish on a high against the England team which is not fielding many of their regular ODI players.

All the key stats and numbers to look ahead of the final game of the 3-match ODI series:

5 – Ireland has lost all the five ODI matches they have played this year thus far. They suffered a 0-3 series defeat against West Indies earlier this year. Ireland’s last win in this format came in July last year when they whitewashed Zimbabwe in a 3-match ODI series at home.

7 – The England team is currently on a 7-match winning streak in ODI cricket at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. England’s winning streak at this venue began from the 2016 home season after they suffered five successive defeats between 2012 and 2015.

12 – Adil Rashid has claimed 12 wickets in six ODI innings against Ireland at an average of 16.5. Rashid’s 12 wickets are the most by any player in ODIs between England and Ireland.

19.50Paul Stirling’s batting average of 19.5 in ODI cricket against England is his lowest ODI batting average against any team. (Min: 100 runs) Stirling scored 195 runs in ten ODIs against England without any fifty-plus scores.

99.14 – Bowling average of Moeen Ali in ODI cricket since the start of 2019; the 2nd worst for any player who has picked up 5 or more wickets in this period behind Glenn Maxwell’s 136.2 average as he took 5 wickets in 23 ODIs since 2019.

The England off-spinner bowled 120 overs across the 17 ODI matches he played since the beginning of 2019 but managed to pick up just seven wickets.

211 – Eoin Morgan is one six away from holding the record for the most number of sixes in international cricket as captain. He currently shares the top spot with MS Dhoni after he struck two sixes during the first ODI of the series.

1928 – Andy Balbirnie needs another 72 runs for becoming the 7th player for Ireland to reach 2000 ODI runs. The Irish captain has scored only 18 runs in the first two matches of the ongoing series.
