New Zealand batting all-rounder James Neesham is known for his hilarious takes on Twitter. The man loves responding to fans’ observations, even if they are funny, with equally funny takes. And the 28-year-old was found doing the same yet again on Monday when he asked on the social media platform about places that Toronto that offers good food and beer. Neesham is currently in the Canadian city to play in Global T20 Canada where he is representing Edmonton Royals led by Faf du Plessis.

Neesham had a decent World Cup recently in England where he picked his maiden five-wicket haul and was at the crease in the thrilling final against the hosts. He hit a six off pacer Jofra Archer as New Zealand were chasing 16 runs in the super over to bag their maiden world title but even that could not secure it for them.

His partner Martin Guptill got run out in the final ball while they tried for the winning run and it saw the Black Caps losing the World Cup final for the second time in a row. Meanwhile, Neesham’s childhood coach passed away after he hit the six in the climax at Lord’s on July 14.

Neesham was as dejected as the rest of his team-mates after losing the big final but it seems it hasn’t hurt his sense of humour. A Pakistani fan replied to his food-seeking tweet by inviting him to come to Pakistan and have biryani. He said Pakistani biryani is the best dish that is found across the world.

Neesham was quick to get back to the fan saying Pakistan was way too far of for dinner. Pakistan is located over 10.3k kilometres away from Canada.

Neesham had another funny exchange with a fan ahead of World Cup

Neesham had another funny exchange with a fan a couple of days ahead of the cricket World Cup final when he spoke about a man travelling with him on the train and attending “7 consecutive meaningless phone calls”. The fan then asked him to concentrate on the final to which Neesham asked what exactly did people expect him to concentrate on while travelling on a train.

Neesham has played in both games for the Royals in the T20 tournament in Canada and scored 53 runs in two outings and took one wicket.
