We are here, finally talking about the final of the Indian Premier League. Undoubtedly the most watched and sought after league as far as cricket is concerned. The league which spans almost a month and half travels across India and abroad too eight teams 100’s of players and more than a billion fans. This is what the IPL is if I were to summarize the extravaganza as.

So, now the two teams the two teams that have made to the helm are Kolkata Knight Riders (straight from the first qualifier) and Kings XI Punjab (second qualifier). KXIP are surely the team of the tournament, since the auctions they have on all occasions put the right foot forward. At the other end we have the KKR who out of nowhere made it to the qualifiers and a win in qualifier 1 against the KXIP brought them right into the finals.

The entire journey will be forgettable after the final night, no matter how good cricket the team has played in the entire league but a win or loss here will define the best and the rest. While KKR will be all high on confidence and spirit after the win they had over KXIP a few nights before. Whereas KXIP are on cloud 9 with the way Virendar Sehwag and his bat cracked the semis for them.

More than team or franchise battle it will be clash of the aces from either side and those who do better that particular night will get their hands on the cup. We have picked up a rivalry form either side and tackle this and take home the title is the mantra from us.

Sehwag – Narine

Virendar Sehwag is in touch one saw him at his peak, the ball is coming right out of the middle and the sound of timber is pleasing. The way he mauled the CSK bowling, opponents be vary of the Delhi dasher. If Sehwag gets going the job will be half done for the KXIP but, there comes the challenge Sunil Narine the mystery spinner from the Caribbean knows just how to tackle all that and put brakes on the scoring. What makes him lethal is his ability to surprise the batsman and take wickets. One of the front-runners for the purple cap race if there is even a little assistance Narine can make life tough for Sehwag and by now KKR skipper has figured out the strategy to use him with best effect.

Uthappa – Johnson

If this IPL belongs to someone this is Robin Uthappa, the Orange cap on his head got him a place back in the Indian ODI team. Clad in the purple KKR jersey Robin hit the purple patch at the right time and it is his batting consistency that has made the rocky journey for KKR actually possible. To test him will be Michael Johnson, pace, bounce and swing his deliveries fire in with everything. The bowling fire power behind KXIP excellence in restricting opponents depends on Johnson and if he is as pumped up as he was last night; Uthappa will have a real tough stay at the crease.

A jam-packed stadium of M Chinnaswamy  in Bangalore will witness the climax of the most celebrated cricketing event on cricket calendar. Expect another cracker of a game as the KKR would want to make it twice with this year’s IPL while KXIP would want to make their first final appearance memorable. Excitement, anxiety and lot of fireworks is what it will bring, hold your seats book your berths the IPL final is here.
