Mumbai Indians chosen to bat against Rajasthan Royals but their innings went with very slow pace. With Rohit Sharma scoring a fifty, Mumbai Indians managed to end up with 133 for 5.

In reply, the Rajasthan Royals outplayed the hosts which was led by a brilliant knock from Shane Watson. Watson was well supported by Rahul Dravid as they looked in a hurry. Watson scored 89 in just 47 balls and Dravid scored 43 as the Rajasthan Royals completed the chase by 13.1 overs without losing a wicket.
