Graeme Smith gives a cheeky angle to his tweet while wishing Zaheer Khan on his 41st birthday

Zaheer Khan, the former Indian pacer is one of the best swing bowlers that Indian cricket has ever produced. The 41-year-old former cricketer was also part of Team India’s triumph in World Cup 2011 and ended the tournament as the leading wicket-taker for India. The pacemen also introduced a new delivery with the name “knuckle-ball” which was part of his bowling variations and is successfully used by the bowlers in today’s cricket.
It was a headache for any top-order batsmen to face the Indian bowler during his international stint. He took retirement from all forms of cricket in 2015. In 2018, Zaheer was included in the coaching crew of Mumbai Indians, which is one of the eight teams that feature in the Indian Premier League.

On Monday, the legendary swing bowler turned 41, and on the occasion of his birthday, fans took Twitter with a blaze wishing the former Indian cricketer on his special day, but a tweet that caught everyone’s eye was of former South African captain Graeme Smith who gave a cheeky angle in his message while wishing Indian swing bowler and wrote, “Happy birthday @ImZaheer, have a great day buddy and thanks for all the memories!,”

As per the records, there has always been a strong rivalry among the Indian bowler and South African opener on the field which was mostly won by the former Indian. In the overall career of Graeme Smith, it was the pacer from Mumbai who had disturbed him the most. In 25 meetings, Smith was dismissed by Zaheer on as many as 13 occasions but now his tweet has proved that till now also African batsman is unable to forget the bowling of former Indian swing bowler.
Zaheer has troubled some of the finest left-handed batsmen in the business and accounted for their wickets many times. It was not only South African batsman who suffered from the bowling of the pacer, but top players like Kumar Sangakara, Mathew Hayden, Sanath Jayasuriya, Mahela Jayawardene have also been affected by his bowling throughout their career on various occasions.
41-year-old has featured in 92 Tests, 200 ODIs and 17 T20Is and bagged more than 600 international wickets under his name.
