Harbhajan Singh picks Rohit Sharma as the best to play a pull shot, Kevin Pietersen also responds to ICC's question
Both the players didn't take the name of Virat Kohli.
Cricket tournaments have come to a halt after Coronavirus outbreak. The cricketers have become more active on social media. And, so do the International Cricket Council (ICC), who have opted out ways of interacting with the fans. Recently, they asked the fans about the player who is a perfectionist in hitting pull shot in international cricket. Soon, Harbhajan Singh and Kevin Pietersen came out with their comments. And, surprisingly both the cricketers didn’t take the name of Virat Kohli.
In cricket, pull shot is one of the most difficult but outrageous strokes to play against the fast bowlers in international cricket. However, some players have proved that it is not an impossible thing to do. And, players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ricky Ponting, Vivian Richards and Herschelle Gibbs among many can be reckoned as the perfectionists to do it. It looks like a cakewalk for them to play a pull off a fast bowler. The fans also like their artistry on the field.
Harbhajan Singh picks Ponting along with Rohit
So, ICC social media team took to their Twitter handle to interact with the fans. They asked fans on which amongst Vivian Richards, Virat Kohli, Ricky Ponting, and Herschelle Gibbs, is the best puller of the cricket ball. It was quite difficult to pick the best from the choices given as all the players had mastered the art. And, they all are best stroke makers of their time.
Firstly, Harbhajan Singh, the veteran Indian spinner took to his Twitter handle and surprisingly picked Rohit Sharma, the Indian opener and former Aussie skipper, Ricky Ponting as the best in that particular category. He wrote, “@RickyPonting @ImRo45.”
Interestingly, ICC didn’t give the name of Indian Hitman in the choices. But, still, he picked him in as one of the best pullers. Later on, Kevin Pietersen joined the bandwagon, who took to his official handle and wrote,”Andrew Hudson.”. The funny part was that Pietersen also took the name of the player that was not mentioned in the choices given by ICC.
