Hardik Pandya receives adorable surprise as son Agastya gatecrashes his interview
Hardik Pandya looked delighted by his son’s appearance
Hardik Pandya will have a point to prove in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2021. The dashing all-rounder wasn’t in best of forms in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) as Mumbai Indians failed to qualify for the playoffs. Moreover, he was going through fitness issues which didn’t allow him to bowl a single over in the gala tournament.
Questions were even raised over his selection in the Indian team for the gala tournament. Hence, it would be interesting to see how the dasher proves his worth. Meanwhile, Hardik received an adorable surprise during one of his recent interviews. The all-rounder was in the middle of an interaction when his son Agastya entered the studio room to greet his father. Pandya looked delighted by his son’s appearance as he held the toddler’s hands and talked to him.
Hardik Pandya greets an adorable visitor
“The official Twitter page of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the video. That awwdorable moment when papa @hardikpandya7 had a surprise visitor during his interview. #T20WorldCup” read the caption of the post. The comment section got flooded in no time as fans were overwhelmed seeing the camaraderie of the father and son.
For the unversed, Hardik and his wife Natasa Stankovic welcomed Agastya to their life in July last year. With the all-rounder being an active user of social media, he often posts adorable pictures and videos of his little son. With families allowed in the bio-bubble, the 27-year-old can stay with his son during his cricket assignments as well.
Meanwhile, it would be interesting to see if the team management considers Pandya as a proper batter in the playing XI. With another formidable all-rounder in the ranks in Ravindra Jadeja, there’s a possibility of Pandya playing a proper finisher. However, the final call would be taken by the team management.
Not to forget, Shardul Thakur recently replaced Axar Patel in the 15-man squad. This shows BCCI is keen to have a fast-bowling all-rounder option if Hardik is unable to deliver. Nevertheless, Pandya, during an IPL match earlier this month, had said he would be bowling soon. Meanwhile, India will kickstart their campaign against arch rivals Pakistan on October 24.
