Hardik Pandya undergoes successful lower back surgery, updates his fans with a tweet
Hardik Pandya is expected to be out of cricket for next 5 to 6 months.
India has got a destructive pace all-rounder after a long time in the name of Hardik Pandya, but it looks like he has been struggling with his injuries. Indian cricket has met with a major blow when he aggravated his lower back injury during the T20I series against South Africa. This is a setback for the team keeping the upcoming T20 World Cup preparations in mind.
The hard-hitting all-rounder from Baroda has been a vital part of Team India in the limited-overs format in the recent past. He played his last T20I series against Proteas but was not picked for the Test series against the same opponent. During the last match in Bengaluru, he aggravated his back injury and then after the conclusion of the series, there was news that Pandya’s injury is serious and will head to the UK for the treatment.

But now Hardik has come out with good news for the Indian cricket fans that he underwent successful lower back surgery. On Saturday the all-rounder from Baroda came out with a picture of him posting a message that he had a successful surgery, ” Extremely grateful to everyone for your wishes. I will be back in no time! Till then miss me.’
25-year-old Indian cricketer left for the UK on Wednesday to get his treatment done from the same doctor who had treated him earlier during India’s tour of England in 2018 and the 2019 World Cup. After undergoing surgery it is almost confirmed that he will not be seen in action wearing India’s jersey in the Bangladesh series starting in the first week of November.
It is expected that he will be not be seen playing for the next five to six months, but Team India will expect him to recover as soon as possible. So that he can get enough time to prepare for the T20 mega event which is scheduled to take place in Australia next year.
Hardik hit the spotlight after his remarkable knock of 76 runs in 43 deliveries against their arch-rivals Pakistan but still ended on the losing side. While playing for India he has featured in 11 Tests, 54 ODIs, and 40 T20Is and managed to get more than 1500 international runs with 109 wickets across all the formats.
