Harsha Bhogle makes a typo-error, much to the amusement of his followers
Bhogle misspelled the word 'Shot' in his Tweet.
The following of some of the modern cricket pundits these days is sometimes at par with some of the cricketers. One of the major examples is that renowned cricket commentator and analyst, Harsh Bhogle.
As they preach, ‘To err is human’, even the greatest minds like that of Harsha is not resistant to mistakes. The man who is the living embodiment literary proficiency made a simple yet explicit mistake while phrasing a tweet about the Virat Kohli inning during the 1st ODI at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
During the match, India was once in a spot of bother with wickets of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and Kedar Jadhav in quick succession. Just when VK was looking determined to forge yet another magical inning, the talismanic batsman presented a golden opportunity to the Kiwis while batting at 29.
The Black Caps, renowned for latching on to acrobatic catches, dropping dollies is something unheard of. However, King Kohli had the rub of the green today during his innings of 121 as Mitchell Santner dropped a dolly while fielding at covers. As they say, ‘Fortune favours the brave’, Kohli notched his 46th half century.
To which Harsha Bhogle tweeted,”He might have had a life but it his has been a fine inning from Kohli. And the sh*t to get to 50 was sumptuous.” Bhogle intended to type shot while praising the stroke of Kohli which helped him reach his half-century, but ended up typing sh*t.
Here are the Tweets:
After being made aware of the situation, Bhogle tweeted again,”Haha! Caught out big time! Meant “shot to get to 50″ of course. Have a laugh on me.”
At the end of it all, Kohli stitched yet another ton in ODIs, thus taking his tally to a whopping 31 tons. Virat Kohli is now only the second batsman to score a ton in his 200th ODI. AB de Villiers is the other batsman to have achieved the feat.
