HCA confirms that it has enough funds to host India v Bangladesh Test
The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) has confirmed that it has enough funds to host the match between India and Bangladesh in February. Prior to the clean up of the BCCI by the Supreme Court, the previous leadership of the Board had approved a one-off Test between India and Bangladesh in Hyderabad.
However, a couple of days ago, there was speculation as to whether the match would be shifted to the Eden Gardens due to reports of lack of funds with the HCA, something that has been denied at the moment. The secretary of the Hyderabad Cricket Association, Mr. Manoj went on to state that the stadia advertisement’s tender notice would be issued by the board today and that the Eden Gardens did not have to worry about hosting the matches.
“Let me set the record straight that HCA has never ever shown reluctance to host the Test. We are issuing a tender notice for in stadia advertisement today. Also, we are set to sign a deal with TCM (Twenty First Century Media) within a day or two. I don’t know who spread all these rumors,” HCA Secretary Manoj told PTI.

Manoj went on to add that the Bangladeshi cricket team wanted to come in early in a bid to acclimatise to the conditions in the stadium. He also concluded by highlighting that Hyderabad would definitely be hosting the Test match.
“In fact, Bangladesh wants to come a week early for a practice match. We have enough funds for that also. Therefore I believe it is some BCCI officials, who probably are disqualified, want to spread baseless rumors. So I put it again: Hyderabad is hosting the Test match,” Manoj signed off.
