Top 10 Highest individual scores by a wicketkeeper in ODIs
1. MS Dhoni – 183 v Sri Lanka:
In 2005, MS Dhoni re-announced his arrival on the big stage with an unbeaten 183 against Sri Lanka during the 3rd ODI at Jaipur. Dhoni smashed all records to help India chase 299 by 6 wickets and with 23 balls to spare. Chasing 299, Dhoni was promoted at number 3 when Sachin Tendulkar was dismissed in the first over. He hammered the Sri Lanka bowling attack, and ended with an unbeaten 183 off 145 balls, hitting 15 fours and 10 maximums. Dhoni, six months earlier, had already shown his big hitting capability as he hit 148 against Pakistan off just 123 balls. He remains to be the record holder for the highest individual score by a wicketkeeper in ODIs.
