I would like to dismiss Jos Buttler and Virat Kohli: Usman Qadir
Qadir will soon be seen in action for Multan Sultans.
Pakistan leg-spinner Usman Qadir has picked a list of players he would like to dismiss and the players he has mentioned in them are the current best in the world. Qadir made his international debut against Zimbabwe in the T20I series and has impressed the selectors with his smart variations.
The leggie stated that he would like to dismiss Virat Kohli, Jos Buttler, Eoin Morgan, and AB de Villiers. While the South African star announced that he won’t make an international comeback, the other three are still dangerous batters going around with their ability to change the game within a span of a few overs.
While Qadir will soon be seen in action for Multan Sultans in the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL), the spinner talked about the upcoming T20 League and the England and West Indies tours.
“If you look at the best players in the world like Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers. If you take a wicket of any one of these, it boosts your confidence and it is helpful for your experience as well. I wish that I bowl to the best players in the world and dismiss them,” he said in an interview with Cricket Pakistan.
Usman Qadir looks to seize his opportunity ahead of England and West Indies tours
Qadir has been included in Pakistan’s limited-overs tours of England and the West Indies. The series presents a good opportunity for the leg-spinner to showcase his skills ahead of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
“When you’re with the team, you have senior players like Babar Azam. Misbah bhai is our coach, Vicky [Waqar Younis] bhai is with us. They boost you a lot and encourage you. If you don’t bowl well, they don’t say that you bowled poorly but instead, they encourage you and treat you properly.”
Over the past few years, Pakistan has aced their T20 game by winning series against top teams like South Africa, New Zealand, and West Indies. With the likes of Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan scoring consistently with the bat, and Shaheen Shah Afridi, Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim steeping up with the ball.
