Pakistan scored a massive 302, owing to century from Shoaib Malik. Gambhir and Dravid fought for India, but 303 was way too much for them as they were all out for 248.

3rd match against West Indies- Dhoni opted to field first. Praveen Kumar and Ashish Nehra bowled superbly as West Indies were bowled out for 129. India chased down the target with around 18 over remaining. But is was of no use as Pakistan and Australia qualified for semis from Group A.
