India should look for bowlers who can clock 150-160 consistently, says Brett Lee
Lee talks about his stint with TNPL, Kohli vs Smith
Former Australian speedster Brett Lee, wants India to find bowlers who can pitch the ball over 150 consistently as he thinks bowling at 140 is not quick enough in modern cricket. He also hoped that the dispute within Australian cricket must end soon so he could watch the battle between Steve Smith and Virat Kohli this October during Australia’s tour to India.
Lee also claimed that there is nothing wrong with a Head Coach asking for his support staff. The former Sydney Sixers pacer is currently engaged with TNPL as a part of the commentary team. Brett hoped that the long-standing dispute between Australian Cricketers Association (ACA) and Cricket Australia (CA) would end soon and he would witness the national team facing off against India and England in the Ashes which starts later this year.

“If a person has been chosen as the head coach then he is like the captain of the support staff. He should be allowed to choose the support staff. Australia is a different platform while India is different. It works for some countries, it does not,” commented Brett Lee on the issue of Head Coach having the right to name its support staff.
“Today bowling at 135-140 is not considered as quick. Someone who can constantly bowl at 150kmph or even touch the 160Kmph mark is your quick bowler. India should look for someone like that,” said Lee according to TOI.
“I wish the issues are sorted and the team is in place for the upcoming big series. I wish to see Virat Kohli vs Steven Smith during the Australia tour of India. I am part of the commentary team for TNPL. It is a nice experience to be here. TNPL has proved to be a platform for many emerging players” concluded Lee.
