Bangalore might just have sealed their faith in IPL 2019 after they slid to a 16-run loss to Delhi on Sunday. With 4 wins out of 12 games, Bangalore are almost out of the reckoning for the qualifiers unless a miracle happens. On the other hand, Rajasthan have got a bit of momentum, winning 3 out of their last 4 games and still hold an outside chance of making it to the playoffs.

They have to produce a win against Bangalore when they play them at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday and then hope to do the same in their final league game against Delhi later in the week. Bangalore won’t drop the intensity and with a spot in the qualifiers still in their sight, will come hard at Rajasthan, who had beaten them earlier in the league.

Bangalore have enough firepower in their tanks to put you in a dilemma if you are picking a fantasy team. After an off day against Delhi, you would expect Kohli and de Villiers to come back strongly. Marcus Stoinis not only contributes with the bat but also is a handy customer with the ball.

Famously quoted as the ‘moneyball’ team, Rajasthan have plenty of talent in their ranks. Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson have done exceedingly well at the top of the order. They will miss Jofra Archer’s services who was Rajasthan’s top performer so far. Due to this severe dent, Bangalore are marginal favourites to clinch this clash.

Head to Head: Last 5 games

Bangalore: 2

Rajasthan: 3

Likely XIs

Bangalore:

Wicket-Keeper: Parthiv Patel

Batsmen: Virat Kohli (C), AB de Villiers, Heinrich Klassen

All-Rounders: Washington Sundar, Shivan Dube, Gurkeerat Singh, Marcus Stoinis

Bowlers: Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal

Rajasthan:

Wicket-Keeper: Sanju Samson

Batsmen: Ajinkya Rahane, Livingstone, Steve Smith (C), Ashton Turner, Riyan Parag

All-Rounders: Stuart Binny

Bowlers: Shreyas Gopal, Jaydev Unadkat, Varun Aaron, Oshane Thomas

Dotball Prediction:

Dotball team for Head to Head/Small Contests:

Wicket-Keeper: Sanju Samson

Batsmen: AB de Villiers (C), Ajinkya Rahane, Virat Kohli

All-Rounders: Marcus Stoinis, Riyan Parag, Stuart Binny

Bowlers: Shreyas Gopal (VC), Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini, Jaydev Unadkat

Captain and Vice-Captain choices:

Captain: Despite labouring to a 19-ball 17, de Villiers is still Bangalore’s highest run-getter this year scoring 431 runs at 53.87. His strike rate of 153.38 tells you how well he has hit the ball in the ongoing season. With only 2 games left, de Villiers wouldn’t want to leave anything in the tank and produce another magical inning.

Vice-Captain:

Shreyas Gopal has been a true find for Rajasthan this year and has managed to flummox Kohli and de Villiers in both teams previous encounter. He will have an upper hand when he stands at the top of his run-up to bowl at these two industrious cricketers. In 12 games, the legspinner has scalped 15 sticks at an economy rate of 7.3.

Fantasy Tips

Riyan Parag’s calmness at the crease has taken everyone by surprise given that he is only 17 years of age. His bowling is a bonus as he picks the odd wicket and dries up the runs.

Safe Captain Choices:

Shreyas Gopal

AB de Villiers

Riyan Parag

Risky Captain Choices:

Liam Livingstone

Yuzvendra Chahal

Washinton Sundar

Dotball Team for Large/Grand Contests:

Wicket-Keeper: Parthiv Patel

Batsmen: Virat Kohli, Henrich Klassen, Liam Livingstone (C), Steve Smith

All-Rounders: Marcus Stoinis, Washington Sundar

Bowlers: Yuzvendra Chahal (VC), Varun Aaron, Jaydev Unadkat, Shreyas Gopal

Captain and Vice-Captain choices:

Captain: Liam Livingstone came into the tournament with an enhanced reputation due to his exploits in another T20 league. After waiting patiently for his turn, he scored a punchy 44 which made light work of their tricky target of 161 against Hyderabad. He can send bowlers on a leather hunt in the Powerplay and Bangalore should be wary of that.

Vice-Captain: Chahal’s economy rate might be in the north of 8, but the legspinner has accounted for 16 wickets from 12 games. His ability to take on the big hitters has often brought him success barring the odd occasion. He will look to tie down the rusty middle-order of Rajasthan.

Fantasy Tips

Varun Aaron’s raw pace with the new ball has coincided with Rajasthan’s revival in the tournament. The big fast bowler has offered Smith better control besides bagging crucial wickets at various stages of the innings.

Dream 11 Prediction

Suggested Playing XI No. 1 for Head to Head/Small Leagues

Wicket-keeper – Parthiv Patel

Batsmen – Ajinkya Rahane (VC), Liam Livingstone, AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli (C)

All-Rounders – Riyan Parag, Marcus Stoinis

Bowlers – Varun Aaron, Shreyas Gopal, Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini

Fantasy Tips

Navdeep Saini’s slippery bowling will challenge Rajasthan’s top-order. His battle with an in-form Rahane, who has amassed 391 run at 35.54 off 12 games this year, will be one to watch out for.

Suggested Playing XI No.2 for Grand/ Mega Leagues:

Keeper – Sanju Samson

Batsmen – Steve Smith, Liam Livingstone (VC), AB de Villiers (C), Ashton Turner

All-Rounders – Riyan Parag, Marcus Stoinis, Washington Sundar

Bowlers – Shreyas Gopal, Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini

Fantasy Tips

Sanju Samson will look to build on his unbeaten 48 which delivered Rajasthan a clinical 7-wicket win over Hyderabad. In Buttler’s absence, the onus is on him and his skipper, Steven Smith, to take over the baton of getting runs consistently.
